Sinopsis:
A worldwide criminal syndicate called known as Heugsahoe exists. Their boss is Choi Hee-Gon.
In 2008, the leader of the Intelligence Investigation Team of the Maritime Police, Kwon Jung-Ryool (Lee Sung-Jae), forms a secret investigation team to capture crime boss Choi Hee-Gon. Soon, Jung-Ryool gets closer and closer to capturing Choi Hee-Gon. Then, Jung-Ryool's wife Min-Jung suddenly goes missing. Her dead body is then thrown in front of Jung-Ryool. Soon after, other family members involved in the undercover operation are killed.

Seon-Woo (Choi Si-Won) goes undercover on Jung-Ryool's order. Seon-Woo can't stop the mission, even though there's continuous threats on his life. Soon, a policewoman who investigates Seon-Woo is killed. It's clear the the woman's murder was committed by crime boss Choi Hee-Gon, but evidence is still lacking for his arrest. Finally, the undercover operation is abandoned.

2011 - 3 years later, Jung-Ryool appears obsessed with his job ... trying to forget the guilt he feels over the death of his wife. With the help of Hyun Hae-Jung (Jin Hee-Kyung) and a director of the maritime police, Jung-Ryool forms another special investigation team. To avoid the attention of others inside the maritime police and crime boss Choi Hee-Gon, the special investigation team is disguised as the #9 investigation team which is responsible for unsolved cases.
Seon-Woo has been demoted to the country maritime police office in Gunsan City. There, Seon-Woo busts an illegal trafficking organization and runs off with their smuggled goods. Seon-Woo now becomes a fugitive. This is part of Jung-Ryool and Seon-Woo's master plan to catch Choi Hee-Gon. They hope to go through middle man Jung Deok-Soo, nicknamed Popeye. Seon-Woo approaches Popeye with his stolen goods, but Popeye finds out the truth. Seon-Woo's life is now in danger. He is saved with the help tactical team leader Kang Eun-Chul (U-Know Yunho). Seon-Woo and Kang Eun-Chul were former colleagues.
Seon-Woo now joins the #9 investigation team. Seon-Woo also takes an interest in Corporal Soo-Yoon (Lee Si-Young). Meanwhile, Popeye kidnaps Kang Eun-Chul. The abduction of Kang Eun-Chul brings back memories of the slain police officer several years earlier.

While lost during a party, Lin Lai Sui (Ariel Lin) fortuitously meets a young boy who comforts her while she is scared. He compliments her hair while touching it, saying that it looks very long and dark, just like a doll. From then on, she thought of him as her first love and grew her hair out in hopes of meeting him again.

Lai Sui is an upcoming fashion designer who had her designs “Daisy”, which she drew when she was 5 years old, stolen by Chu Xing (Simon Yam), a fashion ‘genius’. At the opening ceremony of her university, Bao Cheng Institute, she openly embarrasses and challenges Chu Xing, promising she will become a much more prominent designer than him and cause his downfall. Privately, Sui also vowed she would not fall in love until her promise is fulfilled. However, she soon changes her mind when she meets the attractive, flirty, kinky, and popular senior Ji Feng Liang (Wu Chun).. There are many surprises in store for Sui as she tries to outmaneuver Chu Xing’s plans to ruin her while still striving to keep a steady relationship with Liang. Then again, in the world of fashion nothing is secure.

Trivia :
The series was based on the Japanese shoujo manga "Tokyo Juliet" by Miyuki Kitagawa.
Julian Yang dubbed Wu Chun's voice in the drama. Wu Chun, being a non-native Chinese speaker, had trouble enunciating long and fast dialog.
Angela Zhang was supposed to take the role of Lin Lai Sui but was busy filming Bump Off Lover so the role was given to Ariel Lin.

Synopsis:
Han Ji Eun is a naive writer who got swindled out of everything she owned including her house by her best friends. Stranded in China, She managed to borrow money from an actor Lee Young Jae to return to Korea. On her return, she found out that her house was bought by Lee Young Jae. In an attempt to get her possessions back, she entered in a contract marriage with Young Jae for one year. In spite of losing all, Ji Eun manages to be cheerful and takes things in strike and the business relationship between the two becomes personal as they start to rely and care for each other. Adorable and sweet, Full House is full of great acting and enjoyable characters and brings to life a wonderful story of endearing relationships which compensate its replica episodes. Most notable is the gorgeous Song Hye Kyo and her unwavering performance as the charismatic Han Ji-eun. Also, the story provides surprisingly likeable characters with each having a crafted purpose to contribute to building the plot. Although the latter episodes begin to tie down the drama with repeated cause-and-affect situations, fans of Song Hye Kyo will not be disappointed with her presentation in Full House.

Adding a fresh character to her works, Song Hye Kyo takes front-and-center stage with her performance as Han Ji-eun. Effortlessly, she is able to put aside her renowned performances of old with an adorable giggle and a vibrant smile that even shines through her eyes. She brings realism to the character showing Ji-eun's aspiration and determination, her laughter and happiness, her foolishness and regret. Undoubtedly, Song Hye Kyo plays this role naturally opposite attractive Bi or Jung Ji-hoon and his fitting performance as Lee Young-jae. Of course, both stars are fortunate to play a part in a drama with well written characters.

The drama is flavored with different types of likeable characters that similarly push the story forward with their foolish actions. First, Ji-eun and Young-jae thoughtlessly enter into a contract marriage even though they obviously loathe each other. Meanwhile, sly-fox Hye-won desperately tries to sustain Young-jae's companionship despite his marriage. Then, deciding to get involved because of the way Young-jae treats his wife, Min-hyuk knowingly risks their friendships and challenges Young-jae's love for Ji-eun. Finally, the top tier of this foolish cake is the surprisingly enjoyable friends of Ji-eun, Dong-wook and Hee-jin. These two continuously give the plot momentum with their hasty chatter and clever lies. All in all, the characters' irrational personalities are balanced with decency and purpose.

Towards the end, the drama slow downs and the foolish love-war relationship between Ji-eun and Young-jae is redundant. Whether she is apologizing for upsetting him and doing the housework to makeup for her actions or he is, the same set up and execution is used for several episodes and begins to get old.

Still, Full House ranks as a must see drama. Song Hye Kyo is a sure hit while the story's characters are easily revered despite their faults. With a little tolerance for excessiveness, viewers can walk away from Full House with hearts full of contentment.

The music of Full House enhances the audience's love for its characters. Songs like Why's 'Unh Myung (translated to 'Fate', track one), Byul's (Star) I think I (track 4), and even Lim Jung Hee's 'Geh Deh Ji Geum' (not featured on OST) beautifully express Young-jae's and Ji-eun's inner struggles. Sung with strong conviction from Young-jae's position, Unh Myung has tender lyrics, "Like a fool, I'm regretting this late…I wished that it wouldn't be you." (KBFD translations) On the other hand, 'Geh Deh Ji Geum' and 'I think I', speaks of the Ji-eun's overwhelming feelings. It is lovely music for a lovely drama. Sumber : Wikipedia

Synopsis

Synopsis :

‘City Hunter’ is an original script based on the world-famous novel by Japan’s Tsukasa Hojo. Since it became public that Korea would be the first remake of this story into a drama, ‘City Hunter’ has been receiving worldwide attention. ‘City Hunter’ has switched the setting from Tokyo 1980 to Seoul 2011, and according to the original story structure, the protagonist becomes a city hunter and his character develops while resolving gratifying cases.

Lee Yoon Sung (Lee Min Ho) works at the Blue House’s National Communication Network Team and received his Ph.D at M.I.T. Kim Na Na (Park Min Young), a former judo athlete who works as a bodyguard for the President’s residence, the Blue House. Kim Na Na will eventually be involved in a love triangle with Lee Yoon Sung and prosecutor Lee Joon Hyuk (Kim Young Joo). The drama also marks Goo Ha Ra’s acting debut and she will play the role of the President’s daughter, Choi Da Hye.

[K-Drama] Lie to Me - 내게 거짓말을 해봐 / Naege Geojitmaleul Haebwa / Lie to Me -骗我试试 / 對我說謊看看-Try Lying to Me-달콤한 스캔들 / Sweet Scandal

 A woman in her late 20's is always asked "when are you going to get married?" On a whim, the woman then lies that she did get married.
Kong Ah-Jung (Yoon Eun-Hye) is an administrative official for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She then co-ordinates a meeting for government officials. The meeting appears to flow smoothly and she is even praised by the minister. Disaster soon strikes when bees attack the meeting place and the meeting turns into chaos. Taking responsibility for meeting, Ah-Jung is ordered to submit a written apology. That evening Kong Ah-Jung goes to a club and drinks away her sorrows.
Meanwhile, Hyun Ki-Joon (Kang Ji-Hwan) is the president for conglomerate "World Group." He is handsome, smart and from a rich family. But, in his teen years due to an accident he lost both of his parents. Since that time, Ki-Joon and his younger brother were raised by his aunt. Ki-Joon has a responsible character as an older brother but his younger brother Sang-Hee (Sung Joon) is more carefree. The younger brother Sang-Hee then comes back to Korea and meets Ah-Jung at the club, while she is drinking away her sorrows. Ah-Jung and Sang-Hee start to chat and Ki-Joon shows up to looking for Sang-Hee. He misses Sang-Hee. in front of the club Ah-Jung passes out and Ki-Joon takes her to the hospital. In order to ask Ah-Jung about Sang-Hee's whereabouts, Ki-Joon stays next to Ah-Jung's bed all through the night. The next day, they go their separate ways.

On the following day, Ah-Jung meets So-Ran (Hong Soo-Hyun) who stole away her first love Jae-Beom (Ryu Seung-Soo). So-Ran and Jae-Beom eventually married. After So-Ran and Jae-Beom became a couple, Ah-Jung studied hard and passed her government official exam to impress Jae-Beom. At the hair salon, Ah-Jung on a whim lies to the couple and tells them that she is married. Ah-Jung then goes to a hotel to pay Ki-Joon for the other night's hospital bill. An accident occurs and she spills tomato juice all over her sweater. Ah-Jung is so embarrassed she pretends to pass out. Ki-Joon picks her up and takes her to his hotel room. During this time, Ah-Jung's friends watches and a rumor soon spreads that Ah-Jung and Ki-Joon are married

The basis for the drama is the novel “Kashikogi” by author Cho Chang-in, which has sold 2 million copies in Korea since its publication in 2000. It has already been adapted as a television drama and a stage play in that country. On February 4, Shogakukan is publishing the book in Japan under the title “Good Life.” Sorimachi plays the part of Daichi Sawamoto, a newspaper reporter who has always prioritized his work over his family. When his wife suddenly leaves him, he finally notices the love he has been receiving from his son. Just as he decides to answer back, it is discovered that his son has leukemia. Igawa plays Sawamoto’s wife, Eikura plays a pediatrics specialist, and Ihara plays a doctor.

[Korean Movie and Drama] Thorn Birds - 가시나무새 / Kashinamoosae


Synopsis :

This is the story of two women, Seo Jung Eun and Han Yoo Kyung, who walk very different paths to achieve their desires. Seo Jung Eun is a strong and courageous woman who has suffered a difficult life, having grown up in an orphanage, but continues to embrace people around her despite longing for affection herself. Jung Eun harbours the hope that she will meet her mother if she becomes a star, striving to reach her goal and overcome her suffering with her pure and innocent nature. In contrast, Han Yoo Kyung has a birth secret for which she is willing to throw away everything in order to get revenge. The "thorn birds" of the title refers to Jung Eun's character, who only brings out her best at the cost of great pain. A thorn bird is a mythical bird who searches for a thorn tree from the day it is born. When it finds it, the bird impales itself upon the sharpest thorn, and rises above the agony to sing the most beautiful song ever heard.
